Animals communicate regularly through telepathy. 
They send mental images with symbols, colors and/or words. 
Sometimes they send different physical sensations and emotional impressions. It is the most basic form of communication, 
an ability we are all born with. 

As humans, we learn to rely on verbal communication and our telepathic skills are pushed aside and become weak. Like a muscle, unless used regularly, these skills become weak and inefficient. Humans, given the proper mindset and training, have the ability to communicate telepathically with all species.

One does not need to be in the presence of the animal because they "speak" telepathically. Readings can be done long distance from pictures, 
and/or their names.
